Hello Barracudas!

Be sure to go to Dairy Queen tonight for the Barracudas Spirit night!  Also, order your Salamanders tickets by this evening so our designated group area is not released to the public.  Show up in your Barracudas attire to let them know the Barracudas are cheering for the Salamanders!   Salamanders Tickets These fundraisers will help pay for the wonderful new Time Drops timing system.  This will help all our volunteers who are timers and meet admins.  This system will also help us keep the meet moving and have us end at a good time so that we can still go to DQ after the meet for free ice cream!

Its time to get ready for tomorrows meet!

Here are reminders to help you prepare for the evening. 

-Please ensure your swimmer is at the pool by 4:45pm at the latest. Coaches will be greeting swimmers to check them in and take to designated team spot.

-Warm ups begin promptly at 5pm.

-Please go ahead and have the swimmers number on both arms and last name on the back of shoulder in permanent black marker.

-Designated areas will be set for each age group. Please make sure your child stays in the designated areas to help the kid pushers. We suggest they bring an extra towel to sit on and pack some fun games, coloring, etc for in between heats. 

-Weather looks good.  No rain in the forecast.  Its going to be quite warm so be sure to hydrate well.  (Swimmers and spectators alike!)

-Cheer for your team mates of all ages and levels of ability.

-If you must leave the meet early please check in with the coaches first.

-Heat Sheets can be found on Swimtopia or the Swimtopia app. You will receive a notification when they are available to view.

Parking:

We are asking all Barracudas families to leave the parking lot near and around the pool open for our guests. Please park in the large parking area to the right of the pool. If families could carpool, that would help with some of the parking.

BW Facility:

Barracuda swimmers can set up on the left-hand side of the pool from entry gate. The umbrellas will remain up but if you would like to bring a canopy please feel free to do so. We have 2 canopies that will be set up for the kids. You may wish to bring chairs as well.

Theme:

Barracudas Pride. Wear all your blue and white for this meet!

Concessions:

You will be able to purchase pizza, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, drinks, candy, and snacks. This is located at the bar area. CASH only please.

No alcohol will be sold during the swim meet.

Meet Management:

We will have a Pre-Meet Briefing/Timer Meeting at 5:40pm, volunteers report to the deck area by the kids "mushroom" zone at that time.

Warmups:

As the host team, Bentwinds will swim from 5pm-5:30.

Kitts Creek will warm up 5:30p-6p. Please ensure your swimmer is at the pool by 4:45PM at the latest.

Reminder:

Please do not allow your child to stray to the grass near the chipping green. The kid pushers will not be able to find them and they could miss their event. Even straying from their designated area makes the kid pushers job much more difficult.

-There will be a parent/coach relay if we have enough parents to participate.

Spectators:

Please stay behind the black stanchion/chain area and do not wonder down the side of the pool deck where the coaches and guards are. These areas are designated for the coaches, volunteers, guards and swimmers.

Post Meet:

-Please clean up your area.

-Please help to put things back where they belong.

-Lost and found is by the guard room daily. Anything not claimed in a timely manner will be donated to a local cause.

Note: We understand that there are circumstances out of our control sometimes that forces us to make changes to our plans. If someone gets sick or you must make a last minute change to your declaration, please let Kim or the coaches know ASAP.
