Good afternoon, 

Its already that time of the summer when we need to plan for the *Championship Meet and the *End of Season Celebration. 

Thankfully, the meets (thus far) have been successful and uninterrupted by storms. We have just 1 more regular season meet next week at Charleston Village. The information for this meet will be out on Friday. The Barracudas have won all 5 meets so far! Every swimmer counts so be sure to attend this final meet and end it with another win! We are in need of volunteers for this final meet. Please reach out to our amazing volunteer coordinator, Kelli, and let her know what position you are able to fill. These meets cannot take place without our volunteers. 

*Championship Meet 

It is imperative that your swimmer is registered by 6pm today. 

Currently we have 10 swimmers signed for the meet. In order to participate we need a stroke & turn judge for 2 of the sessions. If you are able to volunteer please let us know. Here are the highlights of what to expect and what is required of each team. 

Site: Triangle Aquatic Center, 275 Convention Drive, Cary, NC 27511 

Facility: Course includes a 10-lane, 25-yard competition course with a variable depth ranging from 7 to 12 feet. Locker rooms are available to participating swimmers only. Only meet participants, volunteers, and officials may be on the pool deck. There is a seating capacity for 1,000 spectators on the viewing level. 

Meet Schedule: Team check-in will be begin at 6:30am. All volunteers will check in 1 hour prior to the start of each session. Check-in will be held outside the main doors of TAC. Swimmers for Sessions 1 & 2 will enter the pool deck with their coaches & kid pushers through the lower level pool doors. Parents must meet their swimmer OUTSIDE the front door at the end of each session. 

Volunteers: Each team will be allowed up to 2 kid pushers for Session 1 & 2 each to assist swimmers getting to the Clerk of Course. 

Each team is required to provide a Stroke & Turn official for at least 2 sessions.

*End of Season Celebration - Please RSVP via Swimtopia by July 15 at 12 PM. 

We will celebrate our season on July 19th from 6-8 PM at the Bentwinds Pool with Awards, DJ, Pool Games and BBQ Dinner. In order for us to be properly prepared with enough food only those who list out all family members attending will be able to enjoy dinner. This is open to the immediate family of each of the swimmers. Please respond to this email with any questions you may have.
