Barracudas Tuesday's Meet at Park Village Details

Good Afternoon!

Please see below the details for this coming Tuesday, June 10th Meet against Park Village.

Location & Parking: The pool is located at 201 Park Village Drive, Cary, NC 27519. There are two parking lots on either side of the pool. Once these lots are full, overflow street parking is available on the pool side of Park Village Dr only. No Parking signs will be posted on the opposite side of the street. There is one entrance to the pool, located near the clubhouse.

Arrival: We will be watching for you to point you in the correct direction to our Blue Barracudas tents. Please arrive to the pool by 5:15 PM so we can ensure you have your swimmer number, name and are checked in.

Facility: Park Village has a 6-lane, 25-yard pool. They have lights and can swim past dusk. Deck space will be reserved for the Barracudas, on the side of the pool opposite the gate (near the deep end/outdoor showers). To maximize deck space, the lounge chairs are unavailable during the meet. Please bring your own chairs and tents. A map of the pool deck layout is below (swimmer check-in refers to the Park Village swimmer check-in). image.png Theme Night: Park Villages theme for the meet is NEON! They invite you to join in wearing bright colors.

Concessions: Their concession stand is located inside the clubhouse and offers pizza, snacks, ice cream, snow cones, and drinks. They accept cash and Venmo.

Warm ups: The pool will be available for the Barracudas to warm up at 5:30 p.m.

Timer Meeting: There will be a timer meeting promptly at 5:45 p.m. An announcer will announce the location of the meeting (usually under the gazebo near the pool entrance).

Reminder: Please do not allow your child to stray from the designated kids area. The kid pushers will not be able to find them and they could miss their event. Kids straying from their designated area makes the kid pushers job much more difficult. Even if they are getting concessions please have them come back to the tent area. This applies for all ages and we encourage all swimmers to be there to cheer on their teammates!

Observers: Please do not stand at the sides or edges of the pool. These areas must remain clear for coaches, judges, timers, kid pushers and clerks of course to do their jobs. No one is allowed in the diving well at any point in time during the evening.

Post Meet: Please clean up your area.

Note: We understand that there are circumstances out of our control that sometimes force us to make changes to our plans. If someone gets sick or you must make a last-minute change to your declaration, please let me (Erin) or the coaches ASAP as they will need to be a deck change. If you must leave the meet early please check in with the coaches first.

Your day of contact person for Tuesday's meet is Erin: [email protected] or 202-536-9057.

Please see me or one of the coaches tomorrow at practice if you have any questions!
