Dear Swim Team Families, 

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during last night's Meet. We sincerely apologize for the technology issues that impacted the event and appreciate everyone's flexibility as we worked through the challenges. While the final result was not what we had hoped for, we are incredibly proud of our swimmers. The kids swam their hearts out, demonstrated great sportsmanship, and represented Bentwinds with enthusiasm and determination. As the season continues, our coaching staff will continue looking for ways to reduce disqualifications, improve heat sheet strategy, and help our swimmers be as successful as possible while keeping the focus on learning, improving, and having fun! 

Now, let's turn our attention to next week's away Meet! We look forward to another great evening of competition and Barracuda pride! MEET DETAILS 

Tuesday, June 23- Arrive by 5:15 PM to be checked in. Warm Ups begin at 5:30 PM with meet promptly beginning at 6 PM. 

LOCATION AND PARKING INFORMATION 

Pool is located at 2700 Evans Rd, Apex, NC 27502. From Hwy 64 West, take the Kelly Rd exit. Turn Right on Olive Chapel Rd. Turn Left onto Apex Barbeque Rd. Turn Right onto Evans Rd. The pool is located on the corner of Evans Rd and Milano Ave. 

PARKING 

The parking lot is small and street parking will be necessary. Parking is allowed on either side of Milano Ave (as there are sidewalks) and on the side of Lazio Lane with a sidewalk. There is no parking on Evans Rd. 

There is a private property located just next to our community pool that allows overflow parking in their field for a fee of $5.00. This money is collected by one of our volunteers, but it is then given to the private family who is not a member of the Bella Casa community. They ask that no one parks in their lot if it has rained within 24 hours of our meet to keep their land free of tire damage. 

Please adhere to the Town of Apex parking regulations. Apex PD have been called in the past and written citations. 

FACILITY 

We have a small and sunny pool deck. Visitors are encouraged to bring a folding chair and/or a tent. We accommodate all the swimmers first, and parents can stand in any remaining spaces. There are overflow areas outside of the fence by the playground and field side of the pool. We post and announce each event so that families can enter the pool deck to cheer on their swimmers for their individual events. Your swimmers can set up on the 4-Square court near the playground as well as on the pool deck side closest to Evans Rd (along Lane 6 side). We have a 6 lane 25-yard pool with permanent deck lights and we’re licensed to operate past dusk. 

CONCESSIONS

We offer concessions where swimmers and families can purchase food, snacks and drinks. We have a grill onsite and will offer burgers and hotdogs for purchase as well as Chick-fil-A and pizza. Lastly, we have a great option for those with dietary restrictions and will offer a pre-order option from Fratelli’s Delicatessen (more details on this to follow). Concessions are provided through the clubhouse “window” just inside the front gate. No swimmers are allowed in the clubhouse. Cash and Venmo are accepted. Sunset Slush is scheduled to be onsite to provide additional concessions for purchase in our parking lot. 

SHARPIE POLICY We are a "No Sharpie on the Back" pool. Our HOA purchased new deck chairs with fabric that may be damaged by ink transfer. Please do not write on backs or shoulders. You may still write your swimmer's arms their number. 

PRE-MEET BRIEFING 

There will be a pre-meet briefing at 5:45 pm in the parking lot just outside the main entrance to the pool. Kindly have all volunteer officials attend. 

PARENTS/COACHES RELAY

If the meet is running on schedule, our coaches and parents are always ready for a little fun after the completion of breaststroke. We wish to challenge your club to a 200 Freestyle relay. The kids and families love this! Please reply if you would like to swim, as their goal is to use all 6 lanes for this event!

DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS

Please remember to declare your swimmer by Sunday so coaches can begin to create the heat sheets. Any last-minute or day of changes need to be made to the coaches as soon as possible.
