Meet Info for Tomorrow 7/14
Good evening,
Please see info below for our final Meet @ Away against Kitt’s Creek tomorrow (last Meet of the season!):
Location and Parking Information
Parking: Parking is limited at the clubhouse, but overflow parking is available up the street by the gazebo. Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood, but parking is strictly prohibited on the street directly by the pool. Please review the attached screenshot and ask parents to pay attention to the "No Parking" signs.
Pool DeckYour team's base will be on the left side of the pool as you enter the deck, marked as "Visiting Team" in the attached screenshot. There is one permanent shade structure and a few umbrellas. We recommend bringing your own canopies and extra chairs, as available seating is limited.
Swimmer Warm-ups
Host Team Warm-up: 5:00 PM
Visiting Team Warm-up: 5:30 PMPlease ensure each swimmer's number is clearly visible on at least one arm before the meet begins.
Time Constraints and Heat LimitationsTo comply with our HOA rules and also, due to lack of lighting, the meet must conclude by 8:30 PM. Due to this constraint, we may need to limit the number of heats depending on entries. Our goal is to ensure every athlete swims at least two individual events. Based on past years, we will likely only run Heat 1 (the main event) for the butterfly, and we may also need to cut heats for the breaststroke.
To keep the meet moving quickly, we will combine events where possible and utilize dive-overs for swimmers aged 11 and up. Please remind your swimmers to stay in the pool against the wall immediately after finishing their race so the next heat can begin.
Timing and Scoring System
We use the Dolphin timing system and will provide all equipment. We require two timers per lane (one from each team), meaning your team will need to provide 6 timers and one Order of Finish judge. We recommend that the Order of Finish judges from both teams work together on a single sheet—one watching the finish order while the other records the results.
Pre-Meet BriefingPre-meet briefing will take place promptly at 5:45 PM. Please ensure all of your officials (Strokes & Turns, timers, clerks, and runners) attend.
Start and Flow
The National Anthem will play shortly before 6:00 PM, and the medley races will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Younger age groups will be called to the Clerks of Course prior to the anthem. The announcer will call groups of swimmers and announce the start of each heat.
ConcessionsOur concession stand opens at 5:30 pm with some of the best food in the TSA. From pork BBQ to butter chicken to veggie burgers and more, there is something delicious for everyone. Come to the meet hungry! Finish off your dinner with a sno-cone or homemade brownies and cookies! We accept cash and cards. A full menu is attached, please provide to your team!
Post-Meet RibbonsRibbons for participants and winners in Heat 2 and beyond will be distributed on deck after each race. Main Event ribbons will be available at the end of the meet. If ribbon labels cannot be printed before your departure, we will coordinate a drop-off with you.
